If you’re like Penelope and I, you went all out to get the best wedding photos because you knew you would enjoy them for many years after the wedding. Your pictures look great and you have a photo album full of all the final prints, but now you want to put them to good use in other creative ways. Here are some outside of the box ideas to make the price of your photos money well spent.
- Thank you cards are a great way to quickly share some photos with each and every guest from the wedding. If you are planning to use pictures from the wedding day on the thank you cards, have some “thank you” props with you to use when taking pictures. This way, the photos added to the thank you notes will make your cards that much more fun for the recipients.

- Photo books make great gifts! Websites like Shutterfly and Kodak allow you to create your own books, designing layouts and labeling pictures in any format you want. Using your photos from the wedding, you can design a book individualized for any one person or even one family.

- DIY ideas will make your pictures that much more original. Using a 4×4 foot canvas, I first painted the canvas blue, then the outer edge black to give it a framed look. I stenciled then painted lyrics onto the canvas, and finally hung a framed wedding photo in the middle of the canvas. The picture hangs in our stairway along with 4 other large prints from our wedding.
